- Mud and Puddles – Two obvious signs you have a drainage problem are mud and puddles on your lawn. While it’s common for puddles to form on your lawn after heavy rainfall, those puddles should disappear after a day or two. If the water sticks around longer than that, or if you have puddles after a light shower, then you likely have a drainage problem. Similarly, your soil should dry out soon after a rain shower. If it’s constantly muddy, contact our team to get your drainage checked.
- Root Rot – Another sign you may have a drainage problem is that your plants are dying of root rot. When the roots of your plants spend too long in waterlogged soil, they can rot away, killing the plant. If you struggle to keep your plants alive, a drainage issue could be the reason why.
- Lawn Diseases – Similar to the way drainage problems can cause root rot in flowers and shrubs, they can also make your grass more susceptible to disease. If your lawn frequently develops dead patches, we encourage you to have us inspect your yard for drainage issues.
